Tracey specialises in Buteyko Breath Correction.  Buteyko is a technique that offers a 99% success rate in stopping asthma symptoms and other breathing related conditions like snoring and sleep apnea. Buteyko is simple to learn, usually over the course of one week in groups of up to 10 people (although one on one tuition is also available).

Clinical studies have shown that reliance on medicines is greatly reduced after learning and practicing the Buteyko Method. Most people, including children and the elderly, can learn the method easily. There are no side effects and often no further need for preventer or reliever medicine (and the associated costs of prescriptions, doctor visits and lost productivity).

Through clinical practice as a naturopath Tracey realised there was a common underlying cause for many illnesses.  She noted that a change in pH levels is evident with the majority of dis-ease and to bring the pH level back to alkaline created homeostasis (balance) within the body. The underlying cause is breathing.  After much research into breathing techniques world wide, Tracey discovered that the Buteyko breathing method as one of the most efficacious and completed the rigorous Buteyko practitioner training.

In addition to Buteyko Breath Correction Tracey is a qualified Naturopath and lecturer on health issues. She is also trained to advise using acute Homoeopathic Remedies.
 
The Bowen technique is a treatment offered to all clients during a consultation.  This very gentle muscle manipulation corrects the imbalance of the body using moves specific for your aliment.  Resulting is relief of muscular pain, as well as internal tension.

She has formulated the very popular herbal ointment "skin eeze". Skin eeze is great for symptoms of eczema, ulcers, blisters and other skin rashes.  It heals very quickly, offering a soothing and pain free area.  Tracey has also formulated the effective herbal cream for vaginal dryness - Lubrifemme.  This product is mostly used to reduce dryness associated with menopause.
 
Tracey trained at South Pacific College of Naturopathy for 3 years.  This College is the longest established and a very reputable private Naturopathic training institute in New Zealand.

What to expect from a naturopathic consultation with Tracey Steele
 
Your first consultation will take approximately one hour.
 
Your medical history is taken in detail, covering how you feel physically and also emotionally, where applicable.
 
All supplements and medical information is recorded and confidential.  Your treatment plan takes into account medication taken.
 
Mineral and Vitamin deficiencies can be expressed on the outside of the body, hence Tracey will look for these signs via facial diagnosis, tongue diagnosis, taking of your pulse, skin colour, tone and hydration.
