About Susy

Susy Egneus is originally Swedish but has lived in New Zealand for the last 14 years, and comes from a background in Natural Health with a Diploma in Herbal Studies.

Having done remedial bodywork for the last 3 years it was a natural process to study this further. Susy spent last year successfully completing a Diploma in Therapeutic Massage at Wellpark College in Auckland, which extended into studies of Lymphatic Drainage, Holistic Pulsing and the basics of Craniosacral Therapy.

Susy is very passionate about massage and believe it is something more people should experience first hand professionally as a way to improve health and generally feel better.

Services

Body Ease Therapeutic Massage offers quality service for people who suffer from stress and tension, seek relaxation and generally want to improve their health, using Therapeutic Massage as a tool.

Our services are based on Swedish Massage techniques, along with Neuromuscular and Muscle Energy Techniques (MET).

Complementary services include Lymphatic Drainage ,Holistic Pulsing and basic Craniosacral Therapy .

Each Massage Session is based on the individual clients needs and is conducted in a confidential and professional manner.

Massage is a definitive stress and pain reliever as well as creating an awareness of posture and body mechanics. It also restores and maintains health by increasing the circulation of blood and lymph, which improves the immune system.

Massage can be a great help in the prevention and relief of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome ,Tendonitis ,Tennis Elbow ,Headaches , and many other conditions.
Body Ease services are available at the Waitakere Osteopathic Center for In-Studio Massage, with Mobile Massages available at your place of residence.
We also offer On-Site Chair Massage , or Workplace Massage, where we travel to your workplace with an ergonomically correct massage chair and deliver a 15-minute massage routine to employees. This is based on the principle that a 15-minute massage is enough of a break into a postural routine to work as a preventative for physical and mental stress.

Lymphatic Drainage uses a range of gentle rhythmic pumping techniques to move the skin in the direction of the lymph flow. It clears blockages, eliminates metabolic wastes from the body, transports nutrients to cells and increases metabolic efficiency, all adding to the reduction of excess fluid and can assist in weight reduction. It also has a calming effect on the nervous system and helps relieve stress and tension.

Holistic Pulsing , the gentle art of rhythmic body rocking which relieves stress and relaxes the nervous system, as well as restore mobility to all joints. HP is based on some of the most basic principles of life, rhythm and water, and a session addresses both physical and emotional blockages.

Craniosacral Therapy is a form of bodywork developed in the West in the Osteopathic field to address traumas and dysfunctions of the brain and cranium. Through mobilization of these bones, other physiological systems (like the nervous, cardiovascular, endocrine and the muscular system) are affected.
Physical knocks or emotional stress can disrupt the natural rhythm of the body, which can lead to problems and ill health. Craniosacral Therapy is a hands-on approach that is very gentle and non-evasive, encouraging the body’s own self-healing and self-regulating capabilities.

On-Site Chair Massage

Reduce Workplace stress today with On-Site Chair Massage. The aim is to make employees happier, healthier, and more productive.

On-Chair massage is a 10 or a 15-minute massage routine applied to the muscles of the neck, shoulders, arms, hands and back, which is usually performed weekly, fortnightly or monthly at your workplace by a certified Massage Therapist. The therapist is using quality equipment in form of an ergonomically correct portable massage chair, a professional approach, along with client confidentiality.

It is the ultimate in Stress reduction for professionals.

What it is:

  • On-Site service, we visit you
  • Fully Clothed
  • No oils
  • 10 - 15 min sessions
  • Professional service

Benefits

  • Reduced stress
  • Increased productivity
  • General well being
  • Feeling energized

The concept behind the On-Site Chair massage is, that a 15-minute massage of neck, shoulders and back and arms is enough of a break into the postural routine to work as a preventative of physical/mental stress.

Chair massage will also help minimize workday stress symptoms like headaches, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, tendonitis, fatigue and general tension in the neck, arms and shoulders.

Stress in the workplace is not a new thing, but has now finally been recognized as a widespread problem, to the point that OSH pushed through a new regulation called the Health and Safety in the Workplace Amendment Act, earlier this year (May2003).
